Pushing religion on people (especially Israelis) makes them rebel. Being a jerk about religion makes them think you're a jerk. This is not the way to entice people into wanting to do something. If the double-headed serpent trends of: [A- Yishai wanting exponentially stricter hametz laws year after year, and B- Haredi Sephardim copying everything the Ashkenazim do, even when counter to their own customs] continue, then I predict the next laws will be to ban gebrokts.
